EverGreen Energy Inc. is a clean coal company focused on developing its K-Fuel process, a vertically integrated, coal-based platform for delivering energy. The Company serves the needs of public utility, industrial and international market customers by providing solutions to environmental emission standards. The K-Fuel process uses heat and pressure to physically and chemically transform high moisture, low-Btu coals into energy-efficient, lower-emission fuel. The Plant segment primarily represents the Fort Union plant and mine site in Gillette, Wyoming. The Mining segment primarily represents the mining operations at the Buckeye Industrial Mining Co. location. The C-lock segment reflects the operations related to the sub-license of a technology to standardize the measurement of carbon emissions in energy and agricultural related activities. The Technology segment is comprised of all other operations that use, apply, own or otherwise advance the K-Fuel process.
